✅ Charity Eligibility Criteria
- • Wigan Borough Native: Must be a registered charity, CIC, or community group operating in the Wigan borough.
- • Practical Need: Must have clear, tangible project needs (building maintenance, IT/telecoms, web, PR, equipment).
- • Site Visit Welcome: Open to a brief in-person visit from Hannah and our board representatives.

2027 Charity Nominations Open
Countdown to the next official nomination window launch:
Nominations can be submitted by local business owners, charity trustees, volunteers, or members of the Wigan community. Any registered charity, CIC, or non-profit operating within Wigan Borough is eligible.
No. 100% of services, IT equipment, building refurbishments, and volunteer hours donated by member businesses are completely free of charge to the Charity of the Year.
After nominations close, our 17 board members review all entries, conduct site visits, and vote on a charity where our combined technical, construction, legal, and marketing skills can achieve the highest practical impact.
